WTO to help boost tourism with sector experts

AMMAN — World Tourism Organisation Secretary General Taleb Rifai on Thursday said the organisation will help Jordan’s Tourism Ministry achieve its goals by providing it with tourism experts.
In a telephone conversation with Tourism Minister Nidal Katamine, Rifai said the WTO will help the ministry continue its “leading role” to enhance the sector.
Also on Thursday, Katamine chaired a meeting at the ministry to discuss the tourism sector’s code of conduct, which includes guidelines and regulations for stakeholders to ensure the sustainability of tourist attractions and the sector’s growth.
