AMMAN — Labour Minister and Minister of State for Investment Affairs Maen Qatamin on Wednesday urged young people to join vocational training programmes.
During his visit to the Jaguar Land Rover Apprentice Academy, Qatamin said that the ministry supports a training programme designated to improve 50 young people’s skills in the field of automotive technology.
He added that the ministry is moving towards developing the courses of the Vocational Training Corporation to empower youth and equip them with skills needed for non-traditional jobs, mainly digital careers, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The academy, “the first of its kind regionally”, offers young Jordanians the opportunity to enroll in its programmes in the field of automotive technology, qualifying them for employment in local and international markets, according to Petra.
