AMMAN — A bumper field approaching 50 vehicles is expected to take part in the opening round of the Jordan 4x4 Championship on Friday at the Dead Sea, sponsored by BF Goodrich and organised by Jordan Motorsport, according to the Jordan Motorsport Media Service.
Following last season’s thrilling finale, off-roading fans can expect another wide open championship race with a number of the top drivers throwing their hats into the ring once again this season. Last year’s championship runner-up, Hamzeh Tymour, and top five finisher, Khaled Quran, will start among the favourites with the top Jordan drivers joined by a number of leading drivers from Palestine and one from Lebanon.
The opening round of the three-round series will get under way at 8:30am on a specially created course on the banks of the Dead Sea.
