Dawani to run for IOC Athletes Commission

AMMAN — Three-time Olympian Nadin Dawani is one of 24 athletes from across the world to have been approved to run for the International Olympic Committee’s (IOC) Athletes Commission, according to a statement by the Jordan Olympic Committee.
The election, with four places available, will take place during the 2016 Rio Olympic Games with Dawani’s name approved on Wednesday by the IOC Executive Board. Dawani is a Jordan taekwondo champion and has competed at the past three editions of the Olympics and will be chef de mission for Team Jordan at next summer’s Rio Games.
