U-19 men’s team loses to Iran in Asian qualifiers

AMMAN — The Kingdom’s U-19 football team lost to Iran 3-0 in the Asian Football Association (AFC) U-19 qualifiers on Sunday.
Jordan is playing in Group E alongside hosts Iran, and Nepal with group winners and best second-placed teams booking a slot to the 2016 AFC U-19 Championship set for Bahrain.
The top-four sides of the U-19 Championship advance to the FIFA U-20 World Cup. Jordan lost to Kuwait 2-1 on Friday and will next play Nepal on October 6.
