Sawalmeh dominated the two races after clocking 1h16m41s in the 21km event and 23m39s in the 10km. "This is really exciting to win two races in one event. I am proud of my achievement and dedicate my win to Jordan…," Sawalmah told The Jordan Times. Around 4,000 runners took part in the marathon. "It was very challenging for me as the competition was really tough but we had the weather on our side and we really enjoyed the marathon," Sawalmah added.
