Consumers shop for clothes, sweets and coffee in preparation for Eid Al Fitr, the Muslim feast marking the end of the fasting month of Ramadan. Jordanians traditionally buy new clothes for themselves and their children to celebrate the occasion. During the Eid holiday, which this year starts on Friday and continues through Monday, Jordanians typically visit their friends and relatives. Visitors are served mamoul — a sweet cake stuffed with date paste, walnut or pistachio — along with the bitter, cardamom-flavoured Arabic coffee (Photos by Raad Adayleh and Amjad Ghsoun)
