South Korea International Cooperation Agency commits $8 million grant for green skills institute in Irbid

AMMAN — General Director of the Vocational Training Corporation (VTC) Ahmad Gharaibeh hosted a delegation from the Korean International Cooperation Agency to discuss the establishment of a vocational training institute specialising in green skills in Irbid Governorate. Gharaibeh said that the project will be located on a land donated by Irbid Municipality in the Barihah area with an $8 million grant from the Korean agency, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. He also said that the institute will focus on environmentally friendly green professions in high demand, such as renewable energy, hybrid car maintenance, business intelligence, and other skills pertinent to the fourth industrial revolution.
