1.5mcm of water channelled to Kingdom’s dams in recent rainfall

AMMAN — The recent rainfall has channelled some 1.5 million cubic metres (cm) into the Kingdom’s 14 major dams until Monday morning, according to Water Minister Motasem Saidan.
The storage at the dams reached 104.4 million cm, which is 31 per cent of their total capacity of 336.4 million cubic metres, Saidan said as reported by the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
The minister said the last precipitation raised the overall rain that the country received since the beginning of the wet season to 2.208 billion cm, which equals 26.9 per cent of Jordan’s long-term annual average rainfall of 8.1 billion cm.
