Kingdom’s dam storage capacity reaches 35.2% — Saidan

AMMAN — The Kingdom's 14 major dams currently hold 35.2 per cent of their total storage capacity of 336.4 million cubic metres (mcm), Minister of Water and Irrigation Motasem Saidan said on Sunday.
The recent rainfall, brought dams’ total storage to 118.5mcm, Saidan added in a ministry statement cited by the Jordan News Agency, Petra.The statement added that the recent rainfall raised the overall precipitation seen since the start of the wet season to 3.039 billion cm, which is 37.1 per cent of Jordan’s long-term annual average rainfall of 8.1 billion cm.
