20-year-old suffers snakebite, receives treatment

AMMAN — A woman in her 20s was bitten on her leg by a snake on Wednesday and later sought medical treatment at the Princess Raya Hospital in Deir Abi Saied in Irbid Governorate, 80km north of Amman, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Taha Tamimi, the director of the hospital, said first aid was administered to the woman, and she was later transferred to Prince Rashid Hospital for further treatment, particularly regarding the swelling caused by the snake’s venom. She is reported to be in fair condition.
