Airline tickets for departures from Aqaba exempted from special tax for 3 years

AMMAN — The Cabinet on Sunday approved extending a previous decision to exempt airline tickets for departures from King Hussein International Airport in Aqaba from the special tax for three years.
The decision aims to encourage tourism in the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority and increase the tourist stay in Aqaba, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. Additionally, the Council of Ministers endorsed amendments to the draft Social Solidarity Fund for Lawyers Bylaw for 2022.
The Cabinet also approved amendments to the draft bylaw to renew the licensing for workers at health professions for 2022 with the aim of granting all practitioners enough time to rectify their status according to the new bylaw.
Also on Sunday, the Council of Ministers approved mandating reasons for the bylaw of employees at the Balqa Applied University for 2022 that aim at regulating work and avoid some shortcomings that emerged after applying the previous version.
