Aqaba airport conducts mock emergency drill

AMMAN — The Aqaba Airports Company (AAC) on Tuesday carried out a training exercise, dubbed “Salamah 20” (Safety 20), which included a simulation of a passenger with a bomb, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
Bashar Abu Rumman, director of the AAC and the King Hussein International Airport, said that the drill aimed to train airport employees to deal with the emergencies that any airport could face, Petra, reported.
The AAC has a comprehensive plan to deal with emergency cases in line with the safety requirements of local and international aviation organisations, Abu Rumman added.
