AMMAN — The Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) on Thursday started to deploy at the entry and exit points of the governorates to enforce the 48-hour blanket curfew.
The deployment is part of the JAf’s efforts towards containing the outbreak of the virus and easing the work of the epidemiological teams.
The 48-hour comprehensive lockdown will start at Thursday midnight.
Holders of previously-issued electronic permits are also denied movement, while epidemiological investigation teams, doctors, nursing staff and a limited number of essential employees are exempted from the curfew, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The Friday-Saturday comprehensive curfew will be reinstated every week until further notice.
