Bani Mustafa, UN ESCWA official talk social protection best practices

AMMAN — Minister of Social Development Wafa Bani Mustafa and Executive Secretary of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) Rola Dashti met to discuss cooperation in social protection strategies.

During the meeting, Bani Mustafa stressed the importance of implementing the best international practices to target beneficiaries of social spending, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported on Tuesday. For her part, Dashti noted that ESCWA is ready to cooperate with the ministry and the National Aid Fund.

The two sides also agreed on a future work programme to train the ministry’s employees on various aspects of social protection.
