Cabinet approves amendments to driving centre draft bylaw

AMMAN — The Cabinet, during a session held on Sunday, headed by Prime Minister Bisher Khasawneh, approved the mandating reasons for an amended draft bylaw for driver’s training centres. Under the amendments, military retirees, who have already completed driving instructor courses at military institutes, will be granted training permits after undergoing an evaluation test from the Jordan Traffic Institute, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The Council of Ministers also approved the mandating reasons for the 2022 draft bylaw of terms and conditions to determine customs values, aimed to find legislative texts that allow the Jordan Customs Department to set the customs value of imported goods. The Cabinet approved recommendations from the settlement and conciliation committee related to settling pending cases between 313 companies and taxpayers, and the Income and Sales Tax Department as well as other 20 cases between taxpayers and the Jordan Customs Department.
