AMMAN —The Cabinet on Tuesday approved the mandating reasons of the draft by-law of traffic penalty points, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The by-law aims to raise deterrent levels to prevent drivers from repeating traffic violations, by limiting the number of violations for each driver or vehicle licence.
It also aims to limit the human and material costs resulting from traffic accidents, in addition to reeducating drivers who repeatedly commit violations by enrolling them in training courses, Petra reported.
