AMMAN — The Cabinet on Tuesday, during a session chaired by Prime Minister Bisher Khasawneh, approved a system to form health and safety committees and appoint supervisors in institutes for 2023.
The system aims to improve productivity in institutes and reduce work injuries. The system provides safety and health specialists to supervise the development of policies and prepare regulations and technical instructions that should be followed in field.
The Cabinet decision aims to abolish organisational units after transferring their functions to other parties to ensure non-duplication.
The Cabinet also approved converting the status of the Jerash Industrial City project from an “industrial city” to an “environmentally friendly agricultural city”, and amended the land acquisition goals according to provisions (1) of paragraph (A) of article (18) of Investment Environment Law no. (21) Of 2022.
