‘Care for Petra’ campaign to promote animal welfare, combat child labour

AMMAN — The New Petra Visitors Centre is scheduled to host the launch of the “Care for Petra” campaign on Thursday, according to a statement from the Society for the Protection of Animals (SPANA-Jordan), one of the project’s coordinators.
The campaign seeks to highlight the importance of three main subjects: animal welfare, child labour prevention and the preservation of the ancient Nabataean site as a one of the New Seven Wonders of the World.
