AMMAN — Agriculture Minister Akef Zu’bi and Consumer Protection Society (CPS) President Mohammad Obeidat on Wednesday discussed the CPS initiative titled “A lemon tree for each house”.
The initiative seeks to help Jordanians overcome the problem of the rising price of the citrus fruit. It also seeks to involve them in agricultural production as the local lemon production covers only 20 per cent of consumption. In the first stage of the initiative, 50,000 lemon saplings will be distributed with brochures on ways to grow them.
