Court hears testimony of anesthesiologist in Salt hospital oxygen outage case

AMMAN — The Amman Magistrates Court on Sunday concluded its 20th session in the New Salt Public Hospital oxygen outage case, announcing that it will hear the testimony of nine experts in the case in the upcoming sessions, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The court heard the testimony of anesthesiologist at the hospital, who said that the oxygen was cut off from its main source on the morning of the incident, March 13.

The court adjourned its session to next Thursday, to complete the hearing of the Public Prosecution witnesses, whose number is expected to reach 49, in addition to nine experts in the case, bringing the total number of witnesses to 66 people.

So far, the court has heard from 35 Public Prosecution witnesses, and will hear from defence witnesses in the case.

In its previous session, the court decided to charge the defendants with eight counts of causing death instead of seven.
