Court hears 9 defence witnesses in Salt hospital oxygen outage case

AMMAN — The Amman Magistrates Court, in its 38th session, on Sunday heard nine witnesses presented by the defendants’ attorneys in the oxygen outage case at the New Salt Public Hospital, which claimed the lives of 10 patients, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. 

The total number of witnesses heard is now 75, including 66 witnesses presented by the Public Prosecution and nine witnesses presented by the defendants’ attorneys.

The court concluded the hearings of the Public Prosecution’s 66 witnesses, including former minister of health Nathir Obeidat, officials, forensic doctors and medical experts.

In the previous session, the court informed the attorneys that the total number of witnesses in each future session would be 11, representing one witness for each defendant.
