AMMAN — The Crown Prince Foundation announced on Tuesday that the “Haqiq” Initiative’s elections will take place on Saturday, January 26, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The initiative’s elections will be implemented for the second year in a row, with the participation of 1,250 male and female “knights” of the initiative, who will in turn vote for 147 candidates.
The elections will take place in all the Kingdom’s governorates to fill the administrative bodies of Haqiq’s seven-member councils located in each governorate. The councils will carry out volunteer activities throughout the year.
Three regional committees, each made up of seven members, will be elected to undertake student-related activities independent of the initiative, as well as to support the elected councils.
Over the past year, Haqiq’s councils have implemented 363 activities and volunteer projects that reached more than 92,000 young men and women. According to Petra, nearly 15,000 young men and women volunteered for the projects.
