AMMAN — Jordan’s Interpol office has received an Arab woman from Egyptian authorities who is wanted by the Kingdom on suspicion of fraud, a Public Security Department (PSD) statement said on Tuesday.
The woman is suspected of working with an African national to defraud a citizen of $99,000 by claiming they could practise magic for him, according to a complaint filed by the citizen.
Egypt has already handed over the African national to Jordan, the PSD said. An investigation located the woman in Egypt, and Egyptian authorities cooperated with their Jordanian counterparts, who sent a team to collect her.
