AMMAN — Senate President Faisal Fayez on Monday offered condolences over the passing of Queen Elizabeth II, during a visit to the British Embassy in Amman.
In his meeting with British Ambassador Bridget Brind, Fayez extended condolences to the British people and leadership, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Queen Elizabeth had been a "friend" to Jordan and its leadership, he said, adding that "we look forward to continuing the deep-rooted partnership between the two kingdoms under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah and King Charles III, and to build on it in various fields to serve the interests of the two friendly countries".
