Film commission, Culture Ministry renew joint project

AMMAN — The Royal Film Commission (RFC) and the Culture Ministry signed on Thursday a memorandum of understanding, renewing the “Jordanian Film Caravan” project launched in March 2012, according to an RFC statement.
Culture Minister Lana Mamkegh stressed the importance of the project and its role in promoting cinema culture in the governorates.
RFC General Manager George David emphasised the “urgent” need for the perpetuation of cultural initiatives, “especially in these difficult times, offering people a different perspective”.
The project aims to provide residents of governorates with a cultural opportunity to watch the latest Jordanian productions, the statement said.
