AMMAN — The Royal Film Commission (RFC) and the Ministry of Culture on Tuesday signed a memorandum of understanding renewing the “Jordanian Film Caravan” project for another year.
Culture Minister Lana Mamkegh and RFC General Manager George David signed the agreement at the ministry’s headquarters, according to an RFC statement.
The project aims at promoting local film culture and Jordanian filmmakers. It will provide free of charge screenings of Jordanian films in the Kingdom’s governorates to familiarise the public with local talents.
The RFC last year organised 11 film screenings in governorates across the Kingdom in cooperation with ministry directorates. The audience expressed its appreciation and desire to take part in more cinematic events.
