AMMAN — Criminal Investigation Department (CID) personnel have foiled a fraud attempt, arresting four suspects for reportedly faking land ownership documents in the capital and trying to sell the plot, the Public Security Department’s (PSD) media centre said on Saturday.
The four, two men and two women, were planning to sell a 24-dunum plot of land through forged ownership papers, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. Thanks to a tip, security agents ambushed the suspected fraudsters and arrested them.
The suspects confessed to attempting to use fake papers to sell land, the PSD said, adding that the case was referred to court.
