Gendarmerie contingent departs for Haiti peacekeeping mission

AMMAN — A Gendarmerie Department contingent left the Kingdom on Tuesday to join the peacekeeping mission in Haiti, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. Gendarmerie Department Assistant Director General Brig. Gen. Walid Qashha called on the officers to be professional at all times.
Before their departure to Haiti, the contingent received practical and theoretical training in human rights, combating riots and dealing with emergencies and natural disasters.
