Gendarmerie contingent to join peacekeepers in Haiti

AMMAN — Gendarmerie Department on Sunday graduated a new contingent that will be leaving for Haiti to join UN peacekeeping troops there. Department’s Director Brig. Gen.
Hussein Hawatmeh called on the officers to carry out their duties with professionalism. Participants received practical and theoretical training in human rights, riot combating and dealing with emergency cases and natural disasters.
