Girl drowns in Balqa; Aqaba accident injures 7

AMMAN — Civil Defence Department (CDD) divers on Friday found the body of a three-year-old girl who had been lost for five hours in a stream in Balqa, a CDD statement said. On Saturday, seven people, six of them Egyptians, were injured when a bus collided with four parked vehicles in Aqaba.
CDD personnel administered first aid and took them to Prince Hashem Hospital where they were reported to be in fair condition. Also on Saturday, a women in her fifties suffered second-degree burns over 65 per cent of her body after a fire erupted in her house in Ajloun, 70km northwest of Amman. CDD cadres administered first aid and took her to King Hussein Medical City in Amman.
