AMMAN — Al Hussein Technical University (HTU) signed an investment agreement with the Awqaf Properties Development Department (APDD) worth JD20 million, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The agreement aims to rent a 20-dunum piece of land to build the HTU’s Faculty of Technological Engineering and residential buildings for students, according to Petra.

The agreement was signed by HTU President Labib Khadra and Director General of APDD Mahmoud Hadeed. Hadeed said that signing the agreement with the HTU came out of a sense of national and social responsibility to serve the national economy and provide jobs for Jordanians. Khadra added that it further supports the ongoing cooperation and coordination between HTC and APDD towards achieving joint goals to benefit the students of the university.
