Interior minister hails crackdown on outlaws, racketeers

AMMAN — Interior Minister Samir Mubaidin on Monday directed all governors and administrative governors to enhance direct security coordination with security directorates in their respective governorates in a way that preserves security and maintains citizens’ rights. During a visit to the Public Security Directorate (PSD) and meeting its Director Maj. Gen. Hussein Hawatmeh and high-ranking officers, Mubaidin commended the directorate’s ongoing campaigns to arrest outlaws and “dangerous criminals”, mainly racketeers, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. Hawatmeh said that the PSD is moving forward in enhancing its capabilities to improve the level of security service presented and boost its social and humanitarian roles.
