AMMAN — Minister of Interior Mazen Faraiah on Sunday announced a number of decisions to facilitate entry into the Kingdom, the Jordan New Agency, Petra, reported.
The new procedures aim to support Jordan’s economy in all sectors, especially the tourism sector, he said.
Decisions include lifting travel restrictions imposed on nationals of Albania and Moldova, the minister noted. He added that they will be granted entry visas through Jordan’s diplomatic missions abroad or through border centres upon arrival, without the need for prior approval.
Individuals within the “restricted nationalities” of Nigeria, the Philippines, Colombia and Pakistan will be allowed to enter the Kingdom without the need for prior approval, provided that they enter in a tourist group of more than five people, under an approved tourist programme.
He highlighted that tourist agencies affiliated with these groups must guarantee the tourists’ departure.
Libyan tourist groups will also be permitted to enter the Kingdom without the need for prior approval, provided that they also enter as part of a tourist group of more than five people under an approved tourist programme that guarantees the group’s departure.
Syrians are also granted entry to the Kingdom after tourist agencies duly submit an application to the Ministry of Interior, pledging the group’s adherence to a pre-arranged tourist programme.
