Irbid’s Wasatiyeh Municipality gets JD317,000 grant

AMMAN — Irbid’s Wasatiyeh Municipality on Monday was provided with a JD317,000 financial grant, as part of a municipal services and social adaptation programme supported by the International Monetary Fund and implemented by the Ministry of Local Administration.
Head of the municipality, Rafiq Awawdeh, said that the grant is to be used for funding public parks and establish a children’s club, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
Wasatiyeh Municipality received a JD0.5 million grant in 2019, as part of the social adaptation programme designated to the municipalities affected by Syrian refugee crisis, Petra added.
