AMMAN — Organised by the Hashemite Fund for the Development of the Jordan Badia (HFDJB), the “Jameed and Ghee Festival” will kick off on Friday.
Several female groups from southern, central and northern Badia regions will participate in the two-day event, showcasing dairy and other traditional bedouin food products, HFDJB Director Jamal Fayez said on Thursday.
The two-day event will take place from 10am to 9pm at the King Hussein Park in Amman, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. Jameed is made from “fat-free and rock-hard” balls of salted yoghurt used as the main ingredient of mansaf, Jordan’s national dish.
