Japan honours former PM Mulki with Order of the Rising Sun

AMMAN — The Government of Japan has decided to confer the Grand Cordon of the Order of the Rising Sun, the highest-class Japanese decoration for foreigners, upon Hani Al Mulki, former prime minister of Jordan, according to a Japanese embassy statement.
This decision expresses Japan’s highest appreciation and gratitude for Mulki’s “magnificent contribution to strengthening bilateral relations between Japan and Jordan, including realising the strategic partnership”, the statement said.
With this regard, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan Motegi Toshimitsu has sent a message to Mulki, expressing his sincerest congratulations on the conferment in recognition of his outstanding contribution.
