JCD foils attempt to smuggle large number of e-cigarettes, shisha

AMMAN — Jordan Customs Department (JCD) personnel have seized 7,000 e-cigarettes and shisha (water pipe tobacco) and 8,000 pieces of their accessories at the Omari customs centre, JCD spokesperson Fadi Qudah said on Thursday.
Qudah said that an X-ray inspection of a suspected truck showed the smuggled items hidden inside furniture on the vehicle, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
