Authorities seize 312 e-cigarettes inbound from Syria

AMMAN — Jordan Customs Department (JCD) personnel at the Jaber border crossing with Syria foiled an attempt to smuggle 312 electronic cigarettes on Tuesday, according to a JCD statement.
The e-cigarettes and their parts were found hidden in secret compartments in the vehicle.
The JCD seized the smuggled gadgets and the vehicle, pending payment of the customs fees and fines estimated at JD13,000. Faisal Adwan, director of the Jaber Border Centre, said.
