AMMAN — President of the Jordanian National Centre for Epidemiology and Communicable Diseases Control (JCDC) Raeda Qutob on Wednesday visited the Jaber Border Crossing Centre to observe health procedures adopted by the relevant authorities at the Syrian border.

Accompanied by representatives from the Ministry of Health and the National Centre for Security and Crisis Management (NCSCM), Qutob emphasised the need for protocols addressing public health emergencies related to the entry of travellers, goods and agricultural products into the Kingdom.

She also noted the importance of raising awareness among international workers and travelers to prevent disease transmission.  A  JCDC statement revealed that the visit came in response to growing public health concerns in neighbouring countries.
