JEPCO workers stage sit-in

AMMAN — Workers at the Jordanian Electric Power Company (JEPCO) staged a sit-in on Sunday in front of Parliament, demanding that the Lower House urge JEPCO’s administration to meet their demands.
Due to company delays in dispensing the salaries for May, workers threatened to break into the administration headquarters to get their salaries.
According to the Electricity Workers Union, the company’s administration will convene on Sunday to discuss the workers’ demands in response to a request by Lower House Speaker Atef Tarawneh.
