IRBID — Yarmouk Water Company employees staged a sit-in on Sunday in front of the company premises, demanding a salary increase.
Protesters said the company has not fulfilled its commitment regarding a 10 per cent salary increase that was supposed to enter into force at the beginning of April.
They claimed the administration wants them to sign new contracts in order to receive the raise.
Company Director Mohammad Rababah said the administration is working to settle the issue.
