JIACC, UNDP sign MoU to cooperate over corruption prevention efforts

AMMAN — The Jordan Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission (JIACC) on Thursday signed a memorandum of understanding with the UNDP to cooperate further between the two sides, establish a strategic partnership to prevent corruption and offer several relevant programmes and initiatives.
The memo, which was signed on the sidelines of JIACC’s celebration of the International Anti-Corruption Day, also aims at supporting the commission’s role in providing a national environment that combats corruption to preserve resources, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The MoU also seeks to increase the awareness and capabilities of all stakeholders in combating corruption in the public sector, including local governance bodies concerned with integrity, accountability and transparency.
