Jordan attends New York conference on people with disabilities

AMMAN — HH Prince Mired, president of the Higher Council for the Affairs of Persons with Disabilities, has highlighted Jordan’s achievements in implementing the 2030 sustainable development agenda, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Speaking at the ninth session of the conference for states parties of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in New York last week, Prince Mired highlighted Jordan’s efforts in preparing the new draft law for persons with disabilities.
During the conference, the prince also said that the law will include regulations in accordance with international standards. Some 160 countries took part in the conference, Petra added.
