AMMAN — The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned the opening of a diplomatic office in Jerusalem by the Czech Republic, which constitutes a clear violation of international law, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The Ministry’s Spokesperson Dhaifallah Fayez stressed that opening the office in Jerusalem blatantly contradicts the provisions of international law and resolutions of international legitimacy, noting that any measures or decisions aimed at changing the legal status of the city of Jerusalem are considered null and illegal.
He emphasised that achieving a just and comprehensive peace is the only way to materialise the two-state solution based on international legitimacy resolutions that guarantee establishing an independent Palestine state on the June 4, 1967 lines, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
