Jordan to enhance economic ties with Saudi Arabia — Shamali

AMMAN — Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply Yousef Shamali highlighted the importance of exerting all efforts to enhance economic cooperation between Jordan and Saudi Arabia in various fields and maximising benefits from available opportunities.
Shamali made the remarks during a visit, along with an accompanying industrial delegation, to the Federation of Saudi Chambers (FSC), stressing the significance of the visit to further enhance joint economic action in a way that serves both countries’ interests, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Chairman of the Jordan and Amman chambers of industry Fathi Jaghbeer expressed aspiration to expand economic cooperation, noting that Saudi investments in the Kingdom in 2019 amounted to $10 billion, mainly in the transport infrastructure, energy, financial, commercial and tourist sectors.
FSC First Deputy Chairman Tareq Haidari highlighted the significance of the meeting that can move the countries to a stage of comprehensive integration under the support of both countries’ leaderships.
