AMMAN — Interior Minister Mazen Qadi on Wednesday met with EU Ambassador to Jordan Andrea Matteo Fontana and discussed bilateral ties and means to develop them in a way that achieves joint interests.
Talks also covered prospects to enhance cooperation in the security, anti-terrorism and anti-crime fields, especially since the regional and international conditions require more global cooperation and coordination, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Qadi said Jordan looks at terrorism as an epidemic that has to be uprooted by fighting extremist ideology with moderate dialogue. Fontana commended the Jordanian role in addressing regional issues and challenges, and praised the Kingdom’s policy in overcoming internal and external challenges, Petra added.
