Jordan is ‘lung’ for Palestine — health minister

AMMAN — Palestine on Saturday commended Jordan’s support in the healthcare field.
At a meeting with Jordan Medical Association (JMA) President Senator Hashem Abu Hassan, Palestinian Health Minister Jawad Awwad said that Jordan is “the lung through which Palestine breathes”.
Abu Hassan said Jordan has always been and will remain the closest to Palestine, stressing the JMA’s “full support” to the Jerusalem Office Committee in helping Palestinian doctors.
JMA’s council praised the office’s decision to boycott Israeli medicines, in rejection of the occupation.
