Jordan records 5 cases of Omicron COVID variant

AMMAN — Five cases of Omicron variant of the COVID-19 virus, all from abroad, were reported in the Kingdom on Thursday, according to the Ministry of Health.
Adel Balbisi, the official in charge of the COVID-19 crisis, said that all Omicron-infections are currently under institutional quarantine in an Amman-based hotel, noting that the ministry is investigating the patients’ contacts, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
