AMMAN — Jordanian food companies are scheduled to take part in the Agro Pack Iraq Erbil 2021 Exhibition on Tuesday, according to the Jordan Exporters' Association (JEA).
Chairman of the JEA Ahmed Khudari said that the four-day food event is a good opportunity for Jordanian industrial companies to promote their products, contact businesspeople, traders and exporters, as well as to sign agreements directly, stressing that taking part in the event is regarded as the first step to access the markets of the Kurdistan region of Iraq.
Enhancing the Jordanian-Iraqi economic cooperation is a shared interest for the two countries, he said, highlighting the need for easing all obstacles hindering the flow of goods in both directions.
Highlighting the importance of the Iraqi market for the growth of the national exports, he said that many of Jordan-made products rely on the Iraqi market, noting that Jordanian products that reach some 140 markets worldwide can meet the needs of Iraq, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
